Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006)

Patrick Süskind’s “unfilmable novel” Perfume: The Story of a Murderer has finally made it to the screens.

The movie is based on his 1985 German bestseller of the same name. It is a story of murder and obsession set in 18th-century France. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille has a unique talent for discerning the scents and smells that swirl around him, which he uses to create the world’s finest perfumes. Strangely lacking any scent of his own, he becomes obsessed with capturing the irresistible but elusive aroma of young womanhood. As Grenouille’s obsession turns deadly, twelve young girls are found murdered. Panic breaks out as people rush to protect their daughters, while an unrepentant and unrelenting Grenouille still lacks the final ingredient to complete his quest.

Celine Dion’s Las Vegas concert extravaganza at Caesars Palace will close on Dec 15 after a nearly five-year run. It is a sad new for Celine Dion’s fans.

The Grammy award and Chopard Diamond award wining singer, Celine Dion, who signed a three-year US$100 million contract, started the splashy gig which titled “A New Day” in March 2003. The run was extended through 2007 and now the closing date is officially announced.

Daniela Cicarelli, a Brazilian supermodel. She was attracted attention in Brazil in early 2001 due to a Pepsi TV commercial and became very well known.

The video showing the intimate scenes of Brazilian supermodel, Daniela Cicarelli and her boyfriend was recently uploaded onto YouTube and it was viewed like hotcakes.

The video was thence blocked by YouTube after a court injunction issued by a judge to request the company to prevent Brazilian Internet users accessing the wildly popular video showing Cicareli, who was formerly engaged to Brazilian footballer Ronaldo, and Brazilian banker (Merrill Lynch employee) Renato “Tato” Malzoni, making out at a beach near the Spanish city of Cadiz.
