Chuxi (New Year’s Eve) is the last evening of the twelfth lunar month. In Chinese, Chu literally means remove or change, and Xi means night. Thus Chuxi implies that the old year ends at this night, and the new one begins tomorrow. The reunion dinner, sacrificing to the ancestors, watching Spring Festival Party on CCTV, and staying up till 12 o’clock, are the major activity in Chuxi.

Jennifer premiered her film Bordertown at Berlinale yesterday with Marc right by her side. Despite the couple’s frequent denials, rumors are still circulating about their secret affiliation with Scientology. The newest story is that the two are having the preliminary meetings about getting involved with the religion to deal with infertility and marriage issues.
A source says that they were invited to meet Lopez and Anthony at the Celebrity Center where they were ensconced in four-star digs. There, Anthony talked excitedly about the “purification” program while Lopez discussed career matters.
“They’re in,” a source said. “There’s no doubt about it.”
We’ve heard this all before so who knows what to believe. Just last month J-Lo was talking about her father’s involvement with the religion while asserting that she will never join.
