This ancient enigma keeps everyone wondering about the mystery or the truth behind those massive stones. Archaeologists are keen to find out the age of these stones and why these stones were erected there. Stonehenge was added to the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites in 1986. People also speculated and related it to astronomy. There are findings that these stones have been designed to allow for observation of astronomical phenomena – summer and winter solstices, eclipses, etc.
