The Withings Connected Scale look ridiculously stylish with its tempered glass surface, brushed metal accents and inverted LCD display, but its functions actually manage to outweigh its form. It’s able to measure both your weight and body mass index, giving you a better idea of your fitness and health levels, and thanks to a built-in WiFi connection it can upload that data to a website allowing you to monitor your weight and BMI over time in convenient graph form. And the icing on the cake, or maybe the cottage cheese on the celery is a better analogy, is the free WiScale iPhone app which gives you access to those graphs and weight data from your phone. Its cost $183 from the Withings website.
German design studio “qed” turned the iPod’s iconic form into a series of colorful egg cups.
This little plastic iPod-shaped eggcup is called eiPOTT. The Ei part means egg in German. The Pott part means pott. It’s actually a rather appropriate shape for an eggcup: The clickwheel holds the egg and the recessed “screen” takes either a generous dose of salt or the cracked remains of the bashed-in shell.
What’s more, while this looks like yet another concept design, it’s actually a real, shipping product, and as even Apple can’t really claim that anyone would mistake this for a real media-player, it’s likely to remain on sale. At €7.50 ($10.60), it even carries a genuinely high, Apple-style price-tag.

The Rocking Horse is built from old German motorcycle parts — a two stroke engine, a sprung saddle and a rather wonderful headlamp.
The Rocking Horse is a custom built bike made by Felix Götze. He noticed three year old Otto Komei staring wistfully out the window at the bike gang across the street as they spent their days souping up their choppers. After one of the gang wheelied off down the street, Felix decided to build the baby his own sweet ride.
