The largest church in the world is the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro (Basilique de Notre Dame de la Paix de Yamoussoukro) in Yamoussoukro, administrative capital of Côte d’ Ivoire (Ivory Coast), which intentionally modeled after the Basilica of Saint Peter in Rome. Basilica of Our Lady of Peace has an area of 30,000 sq m (322,917 sq ft) and is 158 m (518 ft) high.
