Maria Sharapova (Russian: Мари́я Ю́рьевна Шара́пова), a Russian professional tennis player, became rising shinning star after the retirement of Anna Kournikova. Currently she is ranked number one in the world. As of the end of 2006, she was the world’s highest-paid female athlete.

Six feet tall, muscular and blonde, Sharapova turned pro in 2001 at the young age of 14. The tennis prodigy and her father had moved from Russia to Florida when she was nine so that Sharapova could study at the tennis academy of Nick Bollettieri. Sharapova steadily worked her way up through the pro ranks, claiming her first WTA victory at the 2003 AIG Japan Open.

Michelle Monique Reis (Chinese: 李嘉欣; pinyin: Lǐ Jiāxīn or Lee Kar-yan in Cantonese; born June 20, 1970) is a Hong Kong actress.

Reis was born in Macau which was then a Portuguese colony. Her father is Portuguese and her mother Chinese. Reis first came to fame when she won the 1988 Miss Hong Kong Pageant when she was only 18. She was also the first Miss Chinese International in the same year.

Annie Leibovitz described David Beckham as ‘a very determined actor’

Together with other celebrities, David Beckham was photographed in roles of Disney movie characters last month during a “Year of a Million Dreams” promotion for Walt Disney theme parks.

The former England soccer team’s captain was photographed as the prince from the fairytale, Sleeping Beauty, astride a white horse and fighting a fire-breathing dragon. The photos were taken at a lake near Madrid by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. The photos will appear in magazines such as Vanity Fair and Vogue in March.
