U.S. B-2 Bomber Crashes Shortly After Takeoff
Interesting StuffA U.S. B-2 crashed shortly after takeoff from Anderson Air Force Base in Guam at 10:30am local time February 23, 2008. Both its pilots survive when safely ejected from the plane before it crashed and were rescued.
Air Force spokesperson said in a statement that both pilots who have been evaluated by medical authorities, are in good condition.
An Air Force spokeswoman said it was the first crash of a B-2 bomber, but no further information given on the mission of the bomber in Guam.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, but the Air Force will investigate the accident.
