At last, the sex photos scandal male star Edison Chen was in his first public appearance in Hong Kong today after the scandal has dominated headlines on local newspaper since Jan, 2008. He announced at a press conference at 3:00pm today that he will quit from Hong Kong entertainment industry forever.
Edison expressed firmly that the photos that have been circulating on the internet lately were taken by him but he never revealed the photos to anyone. “These photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone,” said Edison Chen.
Edison also apologized to the women and their families, who involved in the sex photos scandal. He also expressed his regret for the negative impact to the society.
Edison said he will involve in charity and community work after he retired from Hong Kong entertainment industry and hopes the public to forgive him. He said, “I’ve decided to do this to give myself an opportunity to heal myself and to search my soul.”
