Panasonic released its world’s No.1 dry cell new battery named ‘Evolta’ and will be available from April 26, 2008. The oxyride dry-cell battery is a totally new construction battery technology from its own innovation, structure and cell material. It boasts a shelf life of 10 years, the longest and double the market conventional battery of 5 years life span.

The name of Evolta is deriving from evolution and voltage power. Panasonic is adopting a unified design for its oxyride dry-cell batteries vis-vis alkaline batteries to become the world’s standard batteries for global market sale.
