Luciano Pavarotti, the world famous opera singer for his high vibrant operatic vocal C’s has passed away. His condition deteriorated in the last 24 hours after a battle with cancer in the early morning at his home Modena, Italy.

“The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness,” the statement said.

Last year, he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and underwent surgery in New York City. Since then, his health has been steadily decline. He underwent further treatment in August 2007 and hospitalized for more than two weeks after he has admitted for high fever.

Another “sexiest” title for Hollywood sexiest woman Angelina Jolie; she has been voted in a recent poll by latest edition of Maxim magazine as the “sexiest film assassin”. Her character in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith has beat other sexiest assassins who appeared in the big screen.

Maxim said Jolie deserved the No. 1 spot because of her ability to “casually slip out of the house with S&M gear under her overcoat, kill a man in a high-priced hotel suite, and then gently float 60 stories to the street below like some German fetishist version of Mary Poppins.”

This is the move of Yahoo in order to regain their profit that lost during the past few years to its competitor Google. Yahoo deficit nearly 7% to US$303 million during the first half of 2007.
