Luciano Pavarotti Opera Tenor Dies At Age 71
Celebrity NewsLuciano Pavarotti, the world famous opera singer for his high vibrant operatic vocal C’s has passed away. His condition deteriorated in the last 24 hours after a battle with cancer in the early morning at his home Modena, Italy.
“The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness,” the statement said.
Last year, he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and underwent surgery in New York City. Since then, his health has been steadily decline. He underwent further treatment in August 2007 and hospitalized for more than two weeks after he has admitted for high fever.
