Chinese made Toys for a U.S. firm “The First Years Inc” were washed overboard and broke open enroute from China to Seattle in one stormy night January 1992. Since then, those yellow colour ducks was bobbing across three oceans; Pacific ocean, Artic ocean and Atlantic ocean.
These bleached and battered bathtub ducks has since travelled Arctic journey and even across north Atlantic where the Titanic ships sank, and now started to reach New England coasts.
The 29,000 toys drifting along the ocean helps greatly to track the flow of currents for researchers. These stormy braved ducks has since become the wanted collectible items for US$100 reward each besides from the next valuable experiment for the rubber duck toys could sail twice as fast as the ocean’s current flow.
