Former Indian Model Becomes a Beggar

Geetanjali Nagpal, 32-year-old, a famous ex-model in India was caught begging at a market in posh South Delhi on August 31. She was graduated from Lady Shri Ram College and was very successful during her modeling career couple years ago. It was believed that she was a drug addict during her career’s peak in 90s.
She was spotted with her matted hair, dirty clothes and unwashed look by a photojournalist begging on streets. But the ex-model refuses she was begging, she said: “I was only asking, not begging.”
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) took her to the VIMHANS Hospital; doctors diagnosed her as suffering from fear psychosis and had to be hospitalised.
