Princess Diana died on Aug. 31, 1997, along with her boyfriend Dodi Fayed and their driver when their Mercedes crashed inside the Pont d’Alma tunnel in Paris. Princess Diana was noted for her charisma, style, humour and high-profile charity work. She was one of the most photographed woman in her lifetime.

Her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry organised a special concert on 1st July 2007 to commemorate and celebrate their mother’s life. The concert was called “Concert for Diana” and it was their special birthday gift for her as it would be her 46th birthday on the day. The concert was held in Wembley Stadium, North West London. It was a 6-hours concert.

“This evening is about all that my mother loved in life: her music, her dance, her charities and her family and friends,” Prince William told the crowd, thanking them and millions more who watched the show on television.
The artists who performed at the concert included Elton John, Bryan Ferry, Tom Jones, Take That and Rod Stewart, Jason Donovan, Sarah Brightman, Natasha Bedingfield, The Feeling, James Morrison, and lots more. It was a successful night with around 70,000 fans presented at the stadium.
