A new breed, the Puggle, has recently become the breakout top dog. A ‘Puggle’ is the newest fad of designer dog breeds sweeping the nation. What is puggle? Puggles are a hybrid breed between a pug and beagle. They are good with children. Puggles tend to be about 15–20 pounds, and 10–15 inches at the shoulders.

The Puggle is actually a toy character from The lost Forests.It has been sold in Australia since the 1970’s and the US since mid 1980’s.The baby Echidna and Platypus adopted the name as the young appeared to look like the toy Puggle character.There are many books still available on the Puggle character.The Puggle character preceeded the Puggle dog by 20 or more years.

The Puggle majority are fawn colored with wrinkled black masks (similar to pugs), but with the longer body, slightly increased size, and longer nose and floppy ears associated with beagles.
