Curse of the Golden Flower is formerly known as The City of Golden Armor or Autumn Remembrance. 满城尽带黄金甲 (Huang Jing Jia) or Curse of the Golden Flower is the epic romance plus martial art drama directed by Zhang Yimou and is loosely based on a play by Cao Yu. Curse of the Golden Flower plot tells the story of an imperial family during Tang dynasty in China, where the volatile balance of power between the King (played by Chow Yun Fat) and the Queen (played by Gong Li) and his three sons, which entails betrayal, deceit and passion, pitting the King against Queen and father against sons, causing the dynasty that is slowly falling apart from the inside.

Curse of the Golden Flower is starred by Chow Yun-Fat (周润发), Gong Li (巩俐), Jay Chou (周杰伦), Liu Ye (刘烨), Li Man (李曼) and Qin Junjie (秦俊杰). It’s the third epic movie with martial arts genre from Zhang Yimou after Hero and House of Flying Daggers. It’s also the third movie for Jay Chou, the popular Taiwanese singer and actor.
